Hamlet Gives Middle East Users Preview Of Its Deliverable 3 Gb/s Solutions

Hamlet, a leader in precision test and measurement tools, is bringing a preview of its latest developments to the Cabsat exhbition in Dubai (between March 3 - 5), prior to their formal launch at NAB in April.
Despite this being a pre-launch demonstration, all the new functionality will be deliverable to customers immediately after Cabsat, including the ability to make precise measurements on 3Gb/s 1080p HD video streams.
Hamlet has a common, modular, all-digital test platform, which is used in its popular Flexiscope and Microflex handheld tools, the MonitorScope fixed device and the DigiScope on-screen display system.
Into this standard platform, users can plug application-specific modules to deliver the precise functionality they require.
At Cabsat, Hamlet will be showing the latest modules for its range, each of which handles standard definition and 1.5Gb/s HD as well as 3Gb/s 1080p signals. There are two new modules: one which offers a comprehensive range of video and audio measurements across all these standards, and a second which adds the eye pattern test for the robustness of the digital signal.
Steve Nunney, Director of Hamlet, said: "The Middle East broadcast industry is advancing rapidly, and we are seeing very exciting new systems coming on line all around the region. It is really important that engineers have the best tools to ensure that every element of every system is performing to its absolutely peak."
He added: "That is vital in HD, and even more technically demanding in 3 Gb/s systems. So, while many other manufacturers talk about '3Gb/s ready', we have focussed on creating the tools that our customers really need, and on making them available when they need them."
As well as these new modules, Hamlet will be demonstrating the complete range of its test and measurement tools, including the award-winning Protean Axiom 3G handheld test signal generator, which also features 3Gb/s capabilities and its innovative range of automatic quality control systems for file-based and server environments, at Cabsat. Find Hamlet on Stand: ZK-24.
