Rumblefish's Massimo Germoglio To Serve As Juror At Italy's Future Film Festival

Rumblefish, a pre-and post-production management company that works in broadcast, design, print and cinema, has announced that Managing Director Massimo Germoglio has been selected as a juror for the 11th Future Film Festival, hosted in Bologna from January 27 to February 1, 2009.
The Future Film Festival is the most significant Italian event dedicated to animation and special effects work.
Germoglio said: "The Future Film Festival is a venue in which the who's who of Italian film display their creative talents. The films shown at the festival illustrate this talent and the enormous potential of new media technologies, offering an exciting glimpse into the future of our industry. Rumblefish has earned wins at past festivals, and I'm very pleased to be involved once again in this prestigious event, this year as a film juror."
In 2008, more than 32,000 people attended the festival, which comprised 130 meetings and screenings, premieres of 17 feature films out of competition and 10 in competition for the Lancia Platinum Grand Prize and 37 animation series and 157 shorts in competition for the Future Film Short - Audience Award Groupama. As a juror for entries in this year's event, Germoglio will judge films in three categories: long-and short-form films for cinema and films created for television.
In addition to screening of competition films, the Future Film Festival features retrospectives of animated cinema and sci-fi filmmaking, as well as meetings and events about new technologies and their application to other fields, such as Web content and video games.
Dreamworks CEO Jeffrey Katzenberg will take part in the 2009 festival's 3D Day, which will address the revolutionary aspects of 3D stereoscopic technology and the films - from Italy and beyond - that have been realised with this technology.
