Eyeheight Reports Healthy French Broadcast Market At SIEL & SATIS 2008

An innovator in the design of multi-format broadcast equipment, Eyeheight, has reported a healthy and successful SIEL & SATIS 2008 exhibition, held at the Paris Expo, Porte de Versailles, from October 20 to October 23.
Gilbert Viegas, Eyeheight Sales Manager, said: "SATIS traditionally comes little more than a month after IBC but has always been remarkably well supported by visitors and exhibiting companies.
"The decision to integrate SATIS with the SIEL equipment lighting event this year proved logical and effective. The two middle days of SIEL & SATIS were particularly busy. We were exhibiting under the aegis of our French distributor, MagicHour, who secured an excellent location near two of the industry's largest manufacturers. We had a constant flow of visitors, many of whom were engaged on major projects.
"We observed particularly strong interest in our new AR-2MD modular SD/HD aspect ratio converter and its integral up/down and cross conversion capability. Also in the new LE-2MD modular SD/HD legaliser, the AS-2MD audio shuffler, our new L1-1DM dual channel SD/HD logo inserter and the new SA-2U SD/HD 4:4:4 safe-area generator.
"Customers in every part of the world are becoming increasingly concerned about the size of equipment, whether for studios, post-production suites or mobile production vehicles. The ability to expand an installation without taking up large amounts of extra rack space is also an increasingly common requirement. The fact that up to six Eyeheight modular products can be housed in a 1 U chassis was recognised and appreciated, as was the ability to control and monitor each of them via Ethernet.
"The well-established Eyeheight Iris eight-input multi-definition digital vision mixer also generated a lot of interest thanks to its compactness and very accessible price. It is ideal for mixing and recording in applications such as sports OBs, concerts and video presentations. MagicHour is now busy following up many leads recorded at the show."
