Nordisk Takes International Centre Stage For TV2 Formats

A leading distributor, Nordisk Film TV World, has secured the exclusive rights to distribute all existing and future formats of TV2 and TV2 networks, the biggest commercial broadcaster in Denmark.
The move follows recent announcement of Nordisk Film TV World's representation deal with SVT in Sweden and reconfirms the company's ambitions to become the foremost distributor of strong and creative Nordic TV content.
The company will launch the formats at MIPCOM in October. Among formats included in the deal is the high-speed action-packed primetime hit format 'Celebrity Devil Race', where celebrities put the pedal to the metal in stock car racing.
The third consecutive season just premiered to record numbers on TV2 Denmark and is moreover currently in production to TV2 Norway, the largest commercial broadcaster.
Another top format is 24hour Comedy Battle. Here reality TV meets stand-up comedy. Twelve promising, up-and-coming professional stand-up comedians face a challenge as they are thrown into a surprise job: a day at a fire station, or an industrial slaughterhouse or at McDonalds. After a hard day's work, the comedians have just 24 hours to write three minutes of comedy material inspired by their visit.
Hot new format 'Liar Liar' also delivers a surprising comedy twist in a classic talkshow format. In this new, non-scripted comedy show our lively host tells stories, ask questions and says things nobody ever knew about - not even the celebrity guests themselves!
