ITN Source Provides Footage For Music Films
ITN Source has provided footage for two music feature films about the Rolling Stones and Joy Division.
'Shine A Light', the critically acclaimed Rolling Stones documentary, directed by Martin Scorsese, features content from the ITN and Granada archives - both of which are represented exclusively by ITN Source.
The footage used in the film captures some of the legal clashes the Rolling Stones encountered during their career, including Mick Jagger's drugs arrest in 1967, where he dismissed allegations that he was an advocate of drug use.
The film also includes archive content that captures the humorous side of Jagger, who attended Keith Richards' trial for the possession of drugs in 1977 and said to ITN: "I never miss a case!"
ITN Source also provided professional video content from the Granada archive for the highly anticipated documentary 'Joy Division' due for release in early May.
Produced by renowned music journalist Jon Savage, 'Joy Division' uses a mix of Granada stock footage of Manchester and Salford in the late '70s, setting the scene for the unique post-punk sound the band unleashed on the world.
The film also uses footage of the late Tony Wilson, who gave the band their first ever TV appearance on local news programme 'Granada Reports'.
ITN Source has over 800,000 hours of iconic footage and creative moving imagery captured over three centuries, including news, drama, celebrity, comedy, music, wildlife, natural history, film, stock footage and a growing collection of HD material.
An advanced digital website offers customers the convenience of searching for, viewing, downloading and purchasing inspiring and captivating professional footage at the touch of a button.
ITN Source has contributed professional video content to a number of recent award-winning films including 'Atonement', 'This Is England', 'The Last King Of Scotland' and 'Sicko'.
The company has headquarters in London and sales offices in New York, Toronto, Berlin, Paris, Johannesburg, Sydney and Tokyo.
