Alexander Lentjes of 3-D Revolution Productions To Speak At UCLAN 3-D Conference

With the recent installation of Europe's largest educational stereoscopic 3-D lecture theatre, The University of Central Lancashire acts as the perfect venue for this event held on 21-22 June.
Many are predicting that over the next ten years we are set to see the explosion of 3-D technology as it finds its way into many aspects of our lives. This conference aims to provide a thorough and comprehensive overview of current and future applications in this area, and would be ideal for those involved in 3-D hardware manufacturing and software development, gaming, film and the use of 3-D in education.
Alexander Lentjes of Bristol-based 3-D Revolution Productions will be speaking about 3-D film making from script to screen at the UCLAN 3-D Conference. With his extensive experience in 3-D film production consulting and 3-D animation production, Alexander will talk about the practical and narrative possibilities of stereoscopic storytelling. We are at the dawn of a new cinematic revolution after those of movement, sound and colour, where depth is finally added to the language of film. We can now tell a visual story in all dimensions and involve the viewer in the story like never before. Film has just taken one step closer to real life. But the 3-D has to be part of film production from the planning stage if today's 3-D revolution is to be a successful and lasting one.
