Preview Of Casino Royale Will Also Celebrate Local Talent From The North West

North West Vision has confirmed that 'Casino Royale’ the new James Bond film will be previewed to an exclusive, invited audience in Chester, Cheshire on November 15.
The City is the birth place of Daniel Craig, who stars as the new 007, James Bond and North West Vision says that the glittering regional premiere will celebrate talent from the North West.
The agency has been working closely with BAFTA and regional partners to finalise this special advanced screening for an invited audience of regional dignitaries, celebrities and industry talent.
Alice Morrison, Chief Executive of North West Vision said: “Hosting the regional preview in Chester reinforces the region’s potential as the destination for filmmaking. A number of talented people from the North West were involved in the movie. We are expecting them to attend the event and look forward, together with all our partners, to welcoming them to this star-studded evening.”
Kam Kandola, Regional Programmer at BAFTA said: "Daniel Craig was born in Chester and it is a particular treat to have a preview screening of his first appearance as James Bond in the city in which he was born. The event will be a great inspiration for all the talent within and from the North West, promoting the skills involved in the film, television, video and online entertainment business to a wider audience."
EON Productions' Casino Royale is the 21st James Bond 007 film in the 44 year franchise. The MGM/Columbia Pictures production began shooting in January. Its world premiere is in London on 14 November and is due for release in the UK on 16 November 2006 a day ahead of the US. The film is produced by Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli with director, Martin Campbell.
The Cheshire and Warrington Film Office is managed by North West Vision and is grateful to the support it receives from the Cheshire partners. The film office is presently experiencing a boom in filming with recent figures showing that the period January to August 2006 has beaten figures recorded for the whole of 2005.
BAFTA in the Regions, run in partnership with the regional screen agencies, is a programme of screenings and events taking place throughout England. Launched in 2005, the programme works to inspire industry practitioners and the public, provide access, develop audiences, and celebrate excellence.
