Bradley Engineering Set To Launch Remote Head For HD & HDV at IBC

Ever more productions are seeing the advantages of filming on HDV using the latest range of cost-effective camcorders.
With this in mind, Bradley Engineering has developed the Z-Head - a lightweight remote head to offer remote operation of these and other cameras. Even before its official launch at IBC, orders for the Z-Head have been received from BBC Natural History Unit, BBC News, Fletcher Chicago, and Stewart Bush. The Z-Head can cope with cameras up to 4kg, fits onto a standard 16mm lighting spigot and has a LANC output to control the camera functions. All this, and it weighs only 1.5 kg itself. It can be controlled with any of the Bradley Engineering controllers including the new Mini Joystick, developed to complement the Z-Head for basic applications. The new, versatile Z-Head can also competently handle many other remote cameras including control of broadcast and teleconference lenses with the addition of a broadcast lens driver board and upgraded mechanics. The orders received so far are for use with a mixture of HDV, Panasonic and Hitachi remote broadcast cameras.
Another addition to the Bradley Engineering range of controllers is the Mini RCP. This is a small camera controller which can be programmed to control a variety of cameras including, Panasonic AW, Toshiba TU, Hitachi, Sony and Ikegami cameras. Up to four cameras can be selected and controlled through a variety of dedicated and assignable controls. Housed in an extruded aluminium case with LCD and LED readouts it is very rugged and user friendly.
