Sonic’s Roxio Bundled With Blu-ray Disc Drive Fujitsu DESKPOWER TX95S/D

Sonic Solutions, a leader in digital media software, announced today that its Roxio Blu-ray Disc (BD) software has been selected by Fujitsu Limited to power its DESKPOWER TX95S/D.
Expected to be the first desktop computer available with an integrated Blu-ray Disc drive when it launches in Japan at the end of June, Fujitsu’s DESKPOWER TX95S/D will usher in a new era of high-definition optical recording on the PC.

Roxio digital media software for Blu-ray Disc enables the quick and robust backup of up to 50GB of data on a double layer BD-R (recordable) or BD-RE (rewritable) disc. In addition, Roxio includes an Easy Archive component to enable users to copy multiple non-protected optical discs to a single BD-R or BD-RE disc.

Sonic’s software and technologies are taking a leading role in the market’s transition to the new high-definition optical formats.
The company recently released Scenarist® 4 and CineVision, the world’s first professional high-definition authoring and encoding systems, which are being used to produce the first Blu-ray Hollywood titles.
In addition, Sonic released Avid DVD by Sonic® - BD Edition, the world’s first Blu-ray Disc (BD) authoring system for video professionals.
Sonic has also incorporated its high-definition technologies into its Roxio-branded applications which have been selected by a number of CE and PC manufacturers to enable BD playback or recording.
