Over 50 global TV channels powered by Narrowstep’s Television Operating System (TelVOS)

Narrowstep, the TV on the internet company, who now power over 50 global broadband channels using their Television Operating System (TelVOS), exhibited at I Deliver at Video Forum.
Over the past three years, Narrowstep has led the market in the TV over IP industry and now has clients ranging from sports bodies, to government departments, broadcasters, the travel industry, real estate, cable companies and many more sectors of business.
Narrowstep is unique in providing technology and strategic commercial advice, enabling their clients to create the most commercially effective (IP delivered) TV properties and strategies. This has been proven with the success of:
  • ITVLocal.tv – extending ITV’s reach to interact with local communities, ITVLocal has established a classified advertising arena to showcase local businesses. Viewers are invited to upload their own content to share with their ‘neighbours’, making ITV unique in the broadcasting world;
  • Cycling.tv – started as a one man band, the channel has grown it’s viewership substantially in the past year and now has a dedicated management and sales team, and has built its base to almost 30,000 registered viewers from around the world, and with plans to show over 70 live bike races this year;
  • Blueyonder.tv – creation of a multi-channel solution which has driven broadband connection sales, increased audience figures, secured high level ad campaigns with the likes of Microsoft and ITV and put them in an ideal position to deliver TV on IP in the future ahead of their competitors.
Narrowstep’s TelVOS™ remains the only technology available for the commercialization of television services on mobile, wireless, broadband and broadcast services.
The system won a ‘Best of IBC Award’ at the 2005 show, presented for the very best new product innovations in the world’s premier television marketplace. This was awarded as in the judges opinion, TelvOS™ showed clear potential to make or save money for end users. Narrowstep’s channels are available 24/7 and offer highlights, live events and VOD.
Narrowstep sponsored the IPTV Pavilion at the show, demonstrating their range of TV channels using their service and explaining how to take practical advantage of the online TV (TV on IP) opportunity.
