Sundance Digital names Director of Sales for Latin America & Caribbean

Paulo Andrés Martínez-Cleves, a highly respected and accomplished industry veteran with solid ties to Latin America’s broadcast community, has joined Sundance Digital as Director of Sales for Latin America and the Caribbean.
Robert C. Johnson, Sundance Digital’s President, said: “We couldn’t be happier to welcome Paulo, a professional of outstanding skill and talent, to the Sundance team.
“2005 will be a year of unprecedented international expansion for us, and we are confident that Paulo’s contributions will help us reach our goals.”
Steve Krant, Vice President of Sales & Marketing, added: “Paulo’s hands-on experience driving major television engineering projects in his native Colombia makes him the ideal candidate to grow Sundance Digital’s presence in Latin America.”
In his new position, Martínez-Cleves will work closely with Sundance Digital’s existing distribution network to support the Company’s growing position as a leading provider of broadcast automation solutions in South and Central America, Mexico and the Caribbean. Martínez-Cleves will continue to serve existing customers as well as increase Sundance Digital’s client base, which ranges from individual stations to large network groups.
Martínez-Cleves said: “I am delighted to join Sundance Digital, a company that places customer satisfaction and product quality as its highest priorities.
“I am eager to use my technical knowledge and wide-ranging ties to the Latin American distributor network to strengthen Sundance’s position in this growing market.”
Martínez-Cleves assumes his new role with extensive technical and managerial experience in the broadcast industry. Prior to joining Sundance he served in high-level sales and engineering positions for Odetics Broadcast and Encoda, where he was responsible for identifying workflow solutions, designing complex automation systems and providing technical assistance.
Martínez-Cleves received international industry recognition as technical director of Telepacifico, where he spearheaded a multi-million dollar renovation, upgrade and expansion of the network’s production and transmission areas. In addition, he served as first assistant engineer of QAP Noticias in Bogota, Colombia, a News Programme that revolutionised Colombian television in the early 90s.
Martínez-Cleves holds a B.S degree in Electronic Engineering from the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana in Bogotá, Colombia.
