CHANNEL 4 APPOINT NEW CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER
CHANNEL 4 have appointed Anmar Kawash as Chief Operating Officer of 4 Ventures.
He will join the company in October from UBS Warburg, where until recently he was the Chief Operating Officer.
Kawash has worked in the US and the UK during a ten-year career in finance and industry and has specialised in the media, telecommunications and technology sectors.
At 4 Ventures he will have overall management responsibility for acquisitions, joint ventures and the operations of all the businesses within the 4 Ventures portfolio. These currently include Attheraces, FilmFour, the FilmFour channels, E4, Channel 4 Interactive and Channel 4 International. He will report directly to 4 Ventures Managing Director, Rob Woodward.
Woodward said: "Anmar will play a pivotal role in recognising opportunities to create joint ventures and partnerships to expand the businesses within the 4 Ventures portfolio. His understanding of the converging worlds of telecoms and television will be invaluable to help maximise the potential of these businesses and ensure they become cash contributors to Channel 4."
