Casema selects Core Networks for broadband network management

Core Networks, a specialist in operations support system (OSS) solutions for the cable television/broadband industry, has announced that Casema has expanded its use of Core Networks' OSS suite by deploying CoreMeter.
CoreMeter is a network management system that provides advanced fault, performance, and capacity management, as well as accounting capabilities. As one of the largest cable operators in the Netherlands, Casema currently provides services to 1.4 million subscribers."
Adopting CoreMeter for our network management requirements was a natural step for us after the successful implementation of CoreOS," said Casema Vice President of Network Operations Andrei Noppe. "The products are solid and address the needs of broadband deployments. Clearly, Core Networks knows the cable industry and our business."
CoreMeter has been designed for management of the ‘last mile’ of the hybrid fibre coaxial (HFC) network. The system collects and displays data from cable modems and CMTSs for real-time and historical analysis, providing cable operators with accurate network performance information. This collection and analysis enables Casema to predict, prevent, and isolate network impairments, identify capacity issues, and monitor subscriber/service usage in a multiple-service-provider environment.
The implementation of CoreMeter at Casema follows more than a year of successful operation with CoreOS, the provisioning product in the Core Networks OSS suite.
