Corinthian Television to close St John’s Wood Studios premises

Corinthian Television is to cease operations at its St John's Wood Studios premises, in order to focus on building its business from Chiswick Park.
"It was a hard decision for us to leave St John's Wood, as we have strong emotional attachments to both the building and the business," said Mike Silverman, Chief Executive Officer of Corinthian Television. "This is where we started back in 1980 and the Grecian architecture is what inspired us to name the company Corinthian Television. Unfortunately the current business at St John's Wood does not support the size of the premises."
Corinthian Television will now focus on developing similar facilities operations like Chiswick Park. This state of the art transmission, postproduction and studio facility currently accommodates a major international entertainment company and is developing rapidly.
Silverman added: "This is a consolidation to enable Corinthian to provide a better service for existing and future clients."
St John's Wood employs 18 staff to look after a number of key clients. The staff were told the news on Tuesday January 13, and also that it has yet to be decided how many will move to Chiswick Park or other alternatives. Corinthian Television is discussing how the clients' current and future work can be completed and various options are under discussion.
Corinthian is in discussion with production company clients and other current facilities partners with a view to see how it can maximise the value of its client relationships, owned equipment and staff.
