Harris Corporation automate 2nd Channel Authority in Israel
The Harris Corporation have installed a Harris Automation ADC-100 system at 2nd Channel Authority, the body responsible for all commercial television and radio channels in Israel.
The new system, which supports eight channels in the initial installation, went on-air at the end of January. The eight channels are distributed by fibre optics to the three cable TV service providers: Golden Channels, Tevel and Matav. A stream is also provided to YES, the digital broadcasting via satellite provider, and a serial digital interface embedded audio stream to AMOS 1 satellite for direct to home services.
The system supplied by Harris Automation Solutions will be the largest commercial automation installation in Israel.
The automation system was installed as part of a turnkey project for the new transmission suite, managed by Electronic Media Systems Limited (EMS) and supervised by ARAN Electronics, the Harris Automation Solutions local representative.
