Broadcasting Corporation of India order 22 Pixel Power Collage 2 systems

Pixel Power have announced that Doordarshan have invested in 22 Collage 2 systems.
Doordarshan, the national television service of India, is devoted to public service broadcasting and is one of the largest terrestrial networks in the world. Its network of 1314 terrestrial transmitters covers more than 89.6% of India's population (over 1 billion at last count). As a public broadcasting service, Doordarshan's objective is to reach out to the largest possible audience. Its diverse network has been quite successful in meeting this goal.
Prasar Bharati's decision to revitalize Doordarshan's on-air graphics led to an exhaustive test of all systems available. After a year of tests and discussion, two Pixel Power Collage2 systems were ordered and installed in Doordarshan's Delhi headquarters.
Following successful trials, a further 20 Collage 2 systems were ordered for installation throughout India and supporting nine different Indian languages.
"The key factor in choosing Pixel Power was the sheer on-air speed, combined with a vast array of features allowing Doordarshan to bring all of their on-air graphics requirements together in a single Pixel Power workstation", stated Mr. Manish Aggarwal of Cinecita, Pixel Power's distributor in India.
