Toddlers 'Not Stabbed' In Family Tragedy |
|
The two girls who were found dead along with their parents in Hampshire were not stabbed, tests have shown.
The bodies of Andrew and Vicki Case and their two daughters, Phoebe, two, and one-year-old Nereya were found at their home in the New Forest village of Fordingbridge on Monday, by the children's grandmother. Tests conducted on the two girls have proved inconclusive, but police said that they did not suffer knife wounds. Earlier in the week, tests conducted on their parents found that Mr Case, 33m died as a result of hanging, while Mrs Case, 31, died from knife wounds. Police have confirmed that they are not searching for anyone else in connection with the deaths. Andrew Case worked as a delivery driver at Doccombe European, while his wife ran St Aldhelm's children's nursery in Sandleheath. It has emerged that Mr Case had filed an Individual Voluntary Arrangement (IVA) - an alternative to bankruptcy - at Salisbury County Court in 2006. The arrangement, which usually lasts around five years, is reportedly still listed as 'current' on the Individual Insolvency Register. An IVA requires a person to pay off as much of their debt as they can without a certain time period, after which the outstanding balance is written off. The investigation is continuing. (KMcA/GK) |
