Sky Real Lives And Tern Television Reveal Secrets Of Women's Health

UK broadcaster, Sky Real Lives, has announced the commission of The Secret Guide to Women's Health.
The studio show is being produced in high definition by Tern Television and will lift the lid on some of the most private women's health issue.
Presented by Coleen Nolan and a team of medical experts, each episode will tackle a different issue from menopause and heart disease, to sexual health and eating disorders.
The series will explode the myths around subjects that most women know little about and are too embarrassed to discuss with their GP.
Each episode will feature Coleen in the studio hosting two live case studies who will discuss their health issues and receive expert advice.
The programme will also feature the Sky Real Lives Secret Surgery road show, a specially designed caravan that will tour the length and breadth of the country giving women the chance to talk to a resident GP about their symptoms.
Barbara Gibbon, Head of Sky Real Lives, said: "Women's health is a crucial issue for our audience, but one which often gets swept under the carpet because of embarrassment and lack of awareness. The show will cover extreme and day-to-day cases from all over the country and is set to be just as compelling as it is informative."
Harry Bell, Creative Director at Tern Television, said: "Tern is delighted to be working yet again with Sky Real Lives. The Secret Guide to Women's Health is a taboo breaking series addressing the importance of women's health.
"The Secret Guide brand will deliver an emotionally packed and riveting series of health stories from all over the UK. A vast amount of women find it difficult, if not impossible discussing the really embarrassing health issues with their GPs so we hope this show will act as a go between giving the audience critical advice and a networking forum."
Coleen Nolan added: "I'm really excited about helping women break taboos over important body and health issue."
This commission follows the recent success of Tern's latest series for Sky, Celebrity Parents' SOS.
The reality entertainment series - spearheaded by celebrity parents like Shirley Clarkson (mother of Jeremy) and Peter Jones (father of Vinnie), Martha Stewart (mother of Jonathan) - aims to teach Britain how to be fashionably frugal in the current economic climate.
