MediaCityUK Adds Fresh Ingredients To The Pie

The Pie Factory at MediaCityUK has had an image overhaul as part of its ongoing marketing strategy, emerging with a fresh brand position including a new visual identity, brochure and online presence.
Manchester-based design agency Drumbeat worked on the brand and brochure with full digital service agency Code Computer Love developing the website: www.thepiefactory.co.uk.
Even before MediaCityUK 'officially' opens its doors, The Pie Factory has built a reputation as a creative community in its own right.
Opened in 2007 and run by Peel Media, the former 'freshbake' factory has been transformed into three sound stages with complementary production facilities including green rooms, make-up rooms, dressing rooms and 'one-the-lot' companies from camera and lighting hire to casting and IT.
It has become an increasingly popular location for TV and film productions, photo shoots and advertising campaigns and is currently being used as a location for TV feature film The Fattest Man, written by Caroline Aherne and starring Timothy Spall.
MediaCityUK is a long-term development situated on a huge waterfront site at Salford Quays, just a few minutes from central Manchester. The first phase, spread over 36 acres, will be completed in 2011, when the BBC and the University of Salford will be anchor tenants. MediaCityUK is being developed and managed by Peel Media, a division of the Peel Group, one of the leading property and transport companies in the UK, with an asset value approaching £7 billion. In total, Peel Media's investment in phase one of MediaCityUK will amount to £500 million.
