Deadline Approaching For RTS Student Television Awards

The Royal Television Society (RTS), the most respected forum for discussion and debate in the television community, is still on the lookout for entries for this year's Student Television Awards.
The deadline for entries is August 7 2009.
Work should display outstanding visual and aural creativity, a mastery of craft skills, innovation and initiative. The judges will look in particular for freshness, originality and audience appeal, within the constraints of the law and broadcasting practice.
The categories include:
  • Animation: Cartoons, graphics, electronically generated or experimental images
  • Factual: Presented in a documentary or reporting style; news, social issues, specialist or popular factual
  • Fiction: Live action narrative; drama, comedy, experimental
  • Entertainment/Factual Entertainment: Entertainment; factual, music, magazine shows
Each category will be divided up into two sub categories for BTEC/Undergraduate and Postgraduate work. Awards will be presented at a ceremony in Spring 2010.
