Creative Sound Adds Europe's Largest Audio Console To New Film Studio In Paris

Solid State Logic (SSL) has announced the installation of its c300 HD audio production console at Creative Sound (Paris) in its new "Le Grand Pavois" facility.
The 56-fader C300 HD Master Studio System is now the largest installed audio production console in Europe.
Creative Sound's Le Grand Pavois now features SSL consoles in four suites: the new 56-fader C300 HD; an existing 24-fader C300 HD; a film-mix optimised Avant plus digital audio console. and a new, compact AWS900+SE Supernanalogue console designated for dubbing and post mixing.
According to Creative Sound Owner Cristinel Sirli, who personally mixed the sound for the 2007 Cannes Film Festival's Palme d'Or ceremony said: "Three years ago we bought the first world's first C300 HD and for our new film production suite at Le Grand Pavois we again wanted the best.
"We spent a great deal of time evaluating different options, but the C300 HD clearly provides the best balance of reliability, build quality and sonic integrity and its multiple DAW control capabilities make it absolutely future-proof. The C300 HD is an amazingly powerful piece of digital audio processing technology."
The new C300 HD is an impressive 4.7 metres wide, requiring two operators to look after up to 448 automated channels and 472 I/Os. However, the C300 HD's 'Master Studio System' concept is simplicity itself and saves time and money by providing simultaneous processing and mixing within the console. Rapid access and overview of complex mixes are made possible by user-customised channel layouts, 7.1 surround input channels, advanced parameter linking and an innovative scroll function that permits access to hundreds of signal paths from as few as eight faders.
Sirli added: "The C300 HD provides an unbeatable combination of uncompromised throughput and a familiar, user-friendly design. It also comes with a commitment to service from SSL that we have enjoyed since we bought our first console from them more than a decade ago."
Solid State Logic's Director of International Sales, Philippe Guerinet, said: "Creative Sound can now take full advantage of SSL console film mixing features and audio processing power in addition to their success with existing SSL solutions for post production. The C300 HD's scalability through a clear upgrade path ensures a long and productive working life that will delight Creative's clients for many years to come."
