NTP Technology Appoints Nils Hahmann As Sales & Support Manager

NTP Technology has appointed Nils Hahmann as Sales & Support Manager to handle worldwide distribution and dealer administration of the company's Digital Audio Denmark (DAD) converter product line.
Based in Marburg, central Germany, Nils has more than 20 years of pro-audio industry experience as a successful engineer in music and radio drama.
Mikael Vest, NTP Technology Sales Director, said: "Nils was the logical choice for this position. His career includes nearly ten years as a product specialist with Digidesign, gaining in-depth knowledge of the radio and music production-studio market. He will continue operating as an audio engineer to maintain his practical experience in sound recording and post-production."
Nils Hahmann added: "NTP's DAD range of audio interface processors have achieved a very high reputation both for their sound quality and their affordability. I look forward to working with Mikael and his colleagues to support both the broadcast and independent-studio sectors."
DAD's flagship AX24 eight-channel audio converter supports both the standard PCM frequencies of 44.1 up to 192 kHz as well as the ultra-high DSD and 352.8 kHz DXD sampling rate used for recording and editing Super Audio CDs.
The AX24 converter is mainly targeted for high-end digital audio workstation and console applications, where high recording quality and low noise, distortion and sound transparency are essential parameters for the user. An optional high-quality microphone preamplifier makes the AX24 the world's best and most 'analogue sounding' A/D converter microphone preamplifier.
The Variant Sphynx-2 is an OEM product equivalent to the AX24 which is supplied for the Merging Technologies Pyramix. This solution provides the only high-end AD/DA workstation capable of DXD recording, widely used for recording for classical music issued on Super Audio CD. This and the DAD ADDA product range fully complement the existing NTP portfolio of audio routing and processing equipment.
DAD equipment users include Bauer Studios, CMC Studios, Danish Radio, DEX Mastering, DPA Microphones, Galaxy Studios, Lindberg lyd, Master Touch, McGill University, Moscow Music Conservatory, NHK, NRK, Real Sound, Royal Danish Opera House, Royal Opera London, Sidney Opera house, SK Works, Soundworks/Jeff Sheridan, Spanish Radio, St Petersburg Philharmonic Orchestra, Stockfisch-Records, Swedish Radio, Telarc International, Ultimo Productions and the Warsaw National Philharmonic Orchestra.
NTP Technology develops, manufactures and distributes broadcast-quality digital audio routers and control software for the world market. The company was established in 1958 and is major supplier of high-reliability audio routing systems for major international broadcasters.
NTP products are integrated into television and radio stations as well as major production centres, post-production facilities and outside broadcast vehicles.
