Amy's Tour Director Gets A Lunchbox

Audio consultancy and equipment supplier KMR Audio has supplied Michael 'Curly' Jobson, Tour Director for Amy Winehouse among others, with an API Lunchbox with four 512c mic-pre modules and two 550A EQ modules.
The equipment is for his project studio in Gloucestershire where the Amy Winehouse band recently recorded a number of tracks with Michael's son, himself a talented guitarist.
He explained: "My youngest son has his sights set on playing - he is a very good guitar player. I built a studio next to my house and I have been adding to the capabilities of the studio which is now sounding pretty good. I bought the API gear from KMR and they have been very professional and totally committed to my satisfaction. They bend over backwards to please, which is what you want from a supplier. API equipment has been on my wish list for a long time. The pedigree is without equal and it's the name I hear most among colleagues when discussing their gear wishes. The sound is exactly what I want - just so musical and appealing. I love it."
Michael Jobson has spent most of his life in the music business, building a distinguished career first as a guitar tech and second guitarist for seminal English groups like Siouxsie and the Banshees and Echo & The Bunnymen and then as an elite tour manager specialising in handling some of the biggest personalities and toughest clients in the history of rock.
