Fairlight Announces NAB Showcases

Fairlight will be using the NAB platform to show a range of professional digital audio recording, editing and mixing systems that are designed to provide a completely integrated workflow solution for broadcast, commercial post facilities, music studios and film production studios.
At this year's NAB, Fairlight will be demonstrating the Xynergi controller, Constellation XCS console and Pyxis MT. There will be theatre style presentations every hour and individual demonstrations throughout the entire show at the Fairlight stand.
The Xynergi Media Production Centre is a desktop editor that features a unique implementation of self-labelling key switches able to display full colour images, animated icons or text. In addition, the controller can support any type of language or icon drive menu structure with an 'on-demand' QWERTY keyboard and immediate access to Windows applications.
Xynergi systems can be specified with additional sidecars, each with twelve faders. Sidecars feature touch sensitive motorised faders, encoders and switches, fader bank switches, channel status LEDs, OLED displays and joystick surround panner.
The Constellation family incorporates fully featured digital audio mixing consoles with high-end automation and processing. A huge range of physical sizes are available, starting with 2 bays and 12 faders and going up to eight bays with optional wraparound and up to 72 faders.
Incorporated into each Constellation XCS model is the XCS panel, which stands for Xynergi Centre Section. XCS brings the power and flexibility of the Xynergi controller technology to the entire Constellation range. Customers can also specify a Constellation XCS without a centre panel - or with the earlier Binnacle-based centre sections.
Pyxis-MT is a versatile audio and video capture, playback and file transfer system. Designed for use in audio post production, film dubbing, telecine capture, screening rooms, ADR list preparation and control functions in ADR recording studios. It is a fully featured HD non linear recorder/player with a professional 192 track audio recorder built in one. The system provides true HD VTR performance and includes an extensive drag and drop file handling capabilities. Pyxis can operate as a standalone system, under SONY 9 pin control, or as part of a multi-system.
All Fairlight products are driven by the CC-1 FPGA digital processing engine delivering high performance with dramatically lower power consumption.
The Fairlight platform supports integrated multi-track audio with video up to uncompressed HD format. A complete suite of super low latency DSP based third party Plug-Ins including VSTs. Plays and transcodes all popular video formats, exchange files in popular audio formats - AAF, OMF and AES-31, and provides drag-and-drop import of all these file types, which enables the convenience of effective workflow.
CC-1 Crystal Core Engine Features:
  • 230 Super Hi Resolution Audio Channels
  • 6 fully parametric bands of EQ on EVERY channel
  • 3 Stages of Dynamics on EVERY channel
  • 72 User definable mix busses from Mono to 7.1
  • 96 channel audio bridge for 3rd Party PlugIns
  • Integrated Video track in SD or HD format
  • Up to 250 physical I/Os - Analogue, Digital or MADI
