Gee Broadcast Chosen By Doorarshan

Doordarshan, the national broadaster of India, has chosen Geevs Servers from Gee Broadcast for an upgrade of its facilities across the subcontinent.
A total of 37 Geevs Servers will be installed in 16 different locations in Doordarshan's facilities.
Geevs was selected after a global tender and evaluation process as providing the best value for Doordarshan's needs.
Mhatre Electronics Pvt. Ltd. was Gee Broadcast's partner for this tender, and will provide local support and services in India.
The Geevs SDE1 model selected will provide VTR replacement, but also includes scheduled playout facilities and multichannel operation.
Simultaneous Iigest and up to two channel Ppayout is available on each Geevs.
Internal storage included with each Geevs provides RAID 5 protected storage for over 20 hours material.
Gee Broadcast Systems has been supplying the UK and International Broadcast market for over 22 years.
According to the company, its broadcast video servers and systems storage solutions enable customers to maximise their programming capability by running their broadcast operations more efficiently and cost-effectively.
