HaiVision At NAB

HaiVision, a leading manufacturer of high-performance H.264 network video solutions for HD and SD, will be at NAB 2009 in Las Vegas.
Products being demonstrated at the show include the MAKO-HD codec, the SHARE-HD network video recorder and the Video Furnace system.
HaiVision's MAKO-HD codec delivers an unparalleled 70 milliseconds of latency from end to end and supports HD up to 1080p. The MAKO-HD also supports computer output encoding to H.264, at up to 1280x768 resolution and 60 frames per second, which is ideal for command and control applications. With advanced features such as WXGA encoding, multiple stream output, HiLo streaming, Adobe Flash compatibility, and traffic shaping, the MAKO-HD is ideal for any network video challenge over LAN, WAN or satellite.
The MAKO-HD is supported within HaiVision's hai1000 multi-stream codec system - the world's premier codec for telepresence applications. Each hai1000 system can contain up to 5 MAKO-HD codecs within a compact telecom-grade 3U frame.
HaiVision's SHARE-HD network video recorder is a high-performance network video appliance capable of recording up to 10 simultaneous streams of high-definition (HD) or WXGA content. SHARE-HD is designed for events where multiple video and real-time information sources are required. SHARE-HD can capture all camera sources simultaneously, apply appropriate metadata, and replay entire sessions either within a computer-based soft player, directly to network video decoders, or to set-top boxes for full context session review.
With HaiVision's hai1000 and the hai1000 MAKO-HD codec technology, multiple HD and computer screen sources can be encoded in real time within a single system. These streams can be simultaneously sent over the network to a centrally located SHARE-HD server for recording as well as to multiple other network destinations using HaiVision's Logical Multicast technology.
The Video Furnace system is the industry's most reliable and secure enterprise class IP video distribution system. Video Furnace now supports HaiVision's H.264 network attached video (NAV) products and, with the MAKO-HD encoder, can control and distribute live high-definition media throughout an organisation.
The HaiVision - Video Furnace solution brings together the world's most powerful encoding and video distribution elements. The Video Furnace IP video control and distribution systems and set-top boxes support HaiVision's high-definition H.264 MAKO-HD encoding technology at full-HD resolutions. The MAKO-HD supports guaranteed frame rate performance of top quality H.264 encoding at up to 1080p resolution and at the lowest latency available. Additional integration will be shown at the NAB show, including the ability to store and manage high-definition video libraries and to deliver video via Video Furnace's patent-pending "zero footprint" InStream Viewer. The InStream Viewer does not require any resident player software or browser plug-ins and runs on all modern desktop operating systems including Windows, Mac, Linux and Sun Solaris.
The combined HaiVision and Video Furnace solution is ideal for live, high-definition content scheduling, management and distribution for HD signage and video-over-IP applications. It also provides fully centralised management and control of HD content presentation and availability.
