021 Television Chooses Eyeheight Legalising Colour-Correctors For National Television Awards

Three Eyeheight CC-2 legalising colour correctors was selected by 021 Television for use during ITV's recent coverage of the 2008 National Television Awards.
Hosted by Sir Trevor McDonald, the event was broadcast live from the Royal Albert Hall in London on October 29.
All three legalisers were installed in 021 Television's Unit 8 Digital Production Truck which was located adjacent to the venue.
Andrew Jones, Business Developmen Director at 021 Television, said: "The Eyeheight legalisers were chosen for their high signal quality and proven reliability. All three CC-2 modules were accommodated into the production control area of our unit 8.
"They enabled us to ensure incoming SDI video feeds were precisely matched and that signals forwarded for transmission remained within standard thresholds. Housed in a single 1 U chassis with front-panel control, they were highly space-efficient and very easy to operate."
Eyeheight's CC-2 provides individual control of R, G and B gain, list and master gamma. Its integral legaliser ensures that operators can make full use of the colour correction without fear of the resulting video levels exceeding EBU R103-2000 or user-defined parameters.
In addition to transmission and loop-through outputs, the CC2 has an indicate output showing which areas of a picture have required clipping to keep them within standard level.
This includes individual R, G and B indication. The indicate feed also incorporates a safe area generator with selectable 'safe action' and 'safe title' cursors for all standard aspect ratios. Additional features of the CC-2 includes input line equalisation (up to 200 metres of PSF 1/3 or equivalent cable) and EDH re-insertion.
