NAT Delivers Russia's Premier Broadcasting Exhibition And Conference

The National Association of TV and Radio Broaadcasters of Russia (NAT), has announced its 12th International Congress and Convention to take place in Moscow (November 18 and 20 2008, Exhibition Centre Crocus Expo) under the title 'Russia at the Step of a Digital Revolution').
This exceptional conference, supported by the Federal Agency for Press and Mass Communications ( www.fapmc.ru), will provide a detailed analysis of international experience alongside interactive discussions covering all aspects of next generation broadcasting and television including content creation, distribution and consumption as well as financial and economical trends in models. It will start with the NAT Convention, which will be open to the public for the very first time.
Participants and speakers will include members of the Governmental Commission on development of TV and Radio broadcasting, senior executives from leading broadcasting companies as well as from telecommunication, satellite, cable, mobile TV operators and service providers, equipment manufacturers and integrators.
International speakers include Sebastian Moeritz (President of the MPEG Industry Forum), Roderick Snell (Founder of Snell & Wilcox), David Price (Vice President of Harmonic), David Gillies (Director of Technology, Pace) and Tassilo Raesig (General Manager of Sony UK/tvtv Services).
The 12th International NAT Congress and Convention will take place in parallel with NATEXPO 2008. NATEXPO ( www.natexpo.tv) is an annual international exhibition and conference focused on technologies, professional equipment and services for the Television, Radio and New Media Broadcasting. This unique and largest event of its kind in Russia, is produced by the National Association of TV and Radio Broadcasters of Russia (NAT), the Eduard Sagalaev Fond of TV Broadcasting, Mass Media and Internet Technology Expansion and ExpoNAT Ltd.
NATEXPO is providing an ideal platform for international business development and technology exchange as well as serving as the perfect gateway to the Russian market, both on a national and regional level, for equipment manufacturers, technology providers, content producers, channel suppliers and service operators.
Eduard Sagalaev, President of NAT, said: "Without a doubt, the transition to digital services in Russia is offering an enormous wealth of opportunities for all industry participants. The main focus of the NAT Congress and Convention will be the necessity of a constructive consolidation of all market participants in the TV and Radio Broadcasting industry ensuring and facilitating an effective as well as productive transition to digital services in Russia. In this context, the establishment of 'Digital Alliance of Russia' is intended to take place during the event, making the 12th International NAT Congress an industry milestone of significant magnitude.
