Furman Announces Classic Export Series

Furman, a leading provider of power management solutions, has announced its new Classic Export Series of rugged, single-rack-space power management/light modules for 220-V to 240-V countries.
Offered in 10-amp and 16-amp versions, the Classic Export Series offers a new industrial design and a full feature set engineered specifically for the A/V professional.
The Classic export models have the same great features as their domestic counterparts, including Linear Filtering Technology (LIFT) for unequaled audio and video clarity, Series Multi-Stage Protection (SMP) for the highest level of surge protection available, and automatic Extreme Voltage Shutdown (EVS) to protect connected equipment from dangerous overvoltage conditions. For rack illumination, the units feature "Smooth Track" LED rack lights and a rear-panel BNC connector to power any standard gooseneck lamp.
The Classic Export Series includes the 10-amp PL-8C E and PL-PLUS C E, and the 16-amp PL-PRO DMC E. All units feature 11 IEC outlets with two rear-panel isolated outlet banks to lower inter-component noise interference and a "Protection OK" indicator on the front panel to alert users to the operational status of the unit.
The PL-PLUS C E features a multi-segmented, colored LED voltmeter to monitor the incoming line voltage. The PL-PRO DMC E adds a laboratory-precision-grade digital voltmeter/ammeter to monitor the incoming line voltage and true RMS current, a color-coded voltage range indicator, and a front-panel charger for small USB-powered electronics.
All models ship with a removable IEC-to-Schuko power cord; other cord options are available from Furman to accommodate regional plug requirements.
Dave Keller, Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Furman and Panamax, said: "We are very excited to introduce the new Classic Export Series to our discriminating customers abroad. With a sleek new industrial design engineered specifically for the A/V professional, the Classic Export models bring together superior protection and outstanding performance for instrument rigs, studio recording, professional audio, broadcasting or anywhere zero-downtime protection and maximum A/V performance are critical."
Keller added: "With the addition of the 220-V to 240-V export units, we've made the benefits or our Linear Filter Technology (LIFT) Series Multi-Stage Protection (SMP) and Automatic Extreme Voltage Shutdown (EVS) more accessible than ever before.
"In addition, the Classic Export Series features the convenience of comprehensive power monitoring indicators, 'Smooth Track' retractable LED lights and a 16-amp Pro option with a USB charger."
The Classic Export Series will be available in November 2008.
