UK Screen Association Announces The Conch Shortlist For Facilities And Newcomer

UK Screen has announced the additional shortlist for its sound awards, The Conch. Judging of all awards took place on September 3 and the shortlist has now been created for the following categories; Film Facility, TV Facility, Commercials Facility and Newcomer.
The winners will be announced at the awards ceremony on September 25, 2008 at the May Fair Hotel.
The shortlist is as follows:
Film Facility of The Year, sponsored by Fineline Media Finance:

TV Facility of The Year, sponsored by Scrub:

Commercial Facility of The Year:

• Angell Sound
• Grand Central Studios
• Wave

Newcomer of The Year, sponsored by The Pinewood Studios Group:

• Dave Williams, Envy
• Glen Gathard, Shepperton Sound part of The Pinewood Studios Group
• Theo Green

Now in its third year, The Conch Awards are organised and promoted by the industry trade body UK Screen and reflect the contribution made by UK facilities, sound editors and dubbing mixers to the art of audio post-production in film, TV and commercials.
