Gefen Demonstrates New DVI Extenders At IBC

Gefen, developers of leading-edge connectivity solutions with signal extension, integration, optimisation, distribution and conversion capabilities, are demonstrating the value of two new DVI extenders at IBC: the DVI FM-1000 and the DVI-1600 HD. Both enable a long-distance delivery of high definition video in the DVI format using innovative formats for simple operation and high quality performance.
The DVI FM-1000 sender/receiver system uses two small sender and receiver modules connected to a single strand of fibre optics SC SC cable to deliver digital video up to one kilometre in length.
Resolutions up to 1280x1024 are delivered at this distance with zero delay making it highly effective for select digital signage applications.
Full HD resolutions up to 1920x1200 can be extended up to 300 metres in distance for remote displays requiring today's most vibrant high definition visuals.
The DVI-1600 HD is an optical DVI with audio and RS-232 extension solution offers an easy, plug and play method of delivering 1920x1080p full HD resolutions in the DVI format with digital audio and RS-232 control up to 300 metres in distance.
Fibre optics cabling links the sender to the receiver, providing today's most reliable method of hi-def signal delivery. The RS-232 connection enables other control systems to be seamlessly integrated.
