FremantleMedia Enterprises Announces Summer Slate

FremantleMedia Enterprises (FME) has announced ten new shows immediately available for international sale.
Amongst the smorgasbord of visual delights, the festive joys of 'Chef's Christmas' invites viewers into the homes of ten of Australia's hottest chefs and restaurateurs to share their seasonal entertaining secrets.
From Atlantic Productions, the makers of the specials 'Hannibal' and 'The Real Face of Santa', 'Star of Bethlehem' is a modern day analysis of the ancient night skies and gives new insights into the world's most famous star, the light that guided the Magi to the birthplace of Jesus.
Gripping new drama is brought to viewers in the disturbing true events behind 'The Shooting of Thomas Hurndall'. This two part story is based on a mother and father’s fight to get justice for their son Thomas Hurndall, a British peace activist who in 2003, whilst trying to get Palestinian children out of the line of gunfire in Rafah, Gaza Strip, was shot in the head by an Israeli sniper.
From moving drama to tears of laughter, FME brings viewers the award winning comic, Jon Dore to international audiences. 'The Jon Dore Television Show', features the host putting himself in the line of fire while exploring some bizarre "issues" in this outrageous new series.
Rounding up, the entertainment selection gives viewers visual treats and a range of perspectives of how other people live their lives, dispelling some long-established myths along the way. 'Tobie and Matt’s Europe' featuring Tobie Puttock ('Restaurant Fifteen Melbourne' and 'Jamie's Kitchen Australia') and Matt Skinner (Head of wine operations for Restaurant Fifteen Group and author of 'The Juice') is a fantastic food and wine journey through Europe with the intrepid best friends and backpacker gourmets as they journey through Spain, France, Italy and Greece.
In an exciting twist on the search for the perfect property: 'I Own Britain's Best Home' finds three presenters Charlie Luxton, property developer Russell Harris and property consultant Melissa Porter out and about around Britain hunting down exceptional properties and extolling all the great features that make the houses stand out from all the rest.
By inspiring you with a diverse range of incredible ‘eco-wow’ garden makeovers, in 'Dryspell Gardening', Brendan Moar will show you that having to let your garden suffer in these environmentally conscious times is a myth, showing you how you can achieve a guilt free paradise.
There is also a wealth of factual programming on offer, which includes 'The Supersizers Go' from Silver River Productions, featuring Sue Perkins and Giles Core who take us on a journey that covers the food eating habits of the British over the past 500 years.
The powerful documentary series 'Hitler's Bodyguard' explores the dramatic story of the men who protected Adolf Hitler during his dramatic rise and fall.
Finally, 'FestivAsia-Moon Dance' is an invitation to one of the world's most fascinating continents with a population of more than 3 billion people.
Commented David Ellender, FME'S CEO: "We have some superb new acquisitions in all genres ready to go, so why wait until the autumn to launch them? But be prepared for much more to come soon."
