Impossible Pictures Expands Drama Division With Key Senior Appointment

Independent television production company Impossible Pictures have announced the appointment of Sophie Gardiner as its new executive producer of drama. Gardiner's role will be key to leading Impossible Pictures into new areas of drama production.
Gardiner brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the team, joining from Channel 4 where she worked as interim commissioning editor for drama. Prior to this she worked as a freelance drama producer on productions including 'Eureka Street', 'Totally Frank' and 'Mike Figgis' The Battle For Orgreave'. She also ran a drama development slate for high profile independent production company Initial.
Tim Haines, Creative Director of Impossible Pictures, said: "We're all looking forward to working with Sophie and welcome the addition of someone with such a strong drama background, who also complements our existing team."
Sophie Gardiner adds: "The challenge of building on the success of 'Primeval' and helping Impossible to grow their drama department, is a really exciting one for me."
The expansion of the drama division sees two further appointments, which will support its continued growth and development.
Claire Ingham joins the staff full-time as Head of Drama Development working alongside Gardiner. Claire will continue to develop and nurture relationships with top class writers and commissioners. Nancia Leggett also joins Impossible Pictures from Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment as Head of Marketing. A key part of this new role will be to manage and develop the hugely successful 'Primeval' brand.
Impossible Pictures is renowned for its ambitious approach at bringing CGI and big budget special effects to the small screen delivering spectacular productions to major broadcasters. Past projects include: 'Prehistoric Park' and 'Primeval' for ITV and 'Fearless Plant' for Discovery.
