Autumn Leaf falls on Framestore CFC
At the LEAF Awards ceremony in London's Hippodrome Theatre, Framestore CFC won awards in all three categories in which it was nominated: 'Commercials Animation', 'Commercials Live Action Effects' and 'TV Series'.
The micro-detailed 3D digital effects work in the X-Box commercial, 'Mosquito'(pictured), the witty post-production work on another X-Box commercial, 'Champagne', and the astonishing creature animation and other post effects in 'Dinotopia' were all recognised by the jury as being pre-eminent in their fields.
The LEAF Awards, sponsored by Hewlett-Packard, celebrate and reward digital effects and animation excellence. It is one of the premier Awards in European Special Effects and Animation. This autumn has proved something of a bonanza season for Framestore CFC. In addition to the LEAF awards, the company has notched up a Shark at Kinsale (for the Levi's 'Odyssey' commercial), two Emmys (for 'Dinotopia' and 'Walking With Beasts') and three nominations for BTAA awards.
