Game Creek Increases Investment In QuStream Routers

QuStream, a global provider of integrated solutions to the creators and distributors of professional video content, including the high-definition television and professional audio-/video market segments, has announced that Game Creek Video, one of the USA's most successful outside broadcast companies, has placed a substantial order for QuStream routing equipment.
Already a major user of QuStream equipment, Game Creek Video is adding a Cheetah 384X720 HD with redundant power supply and redundant frame controller. Occupying 27 U, the new system incorporates an HD-SDI multirate input module, 144X144 HD-SDI switching matrix and load card plus an HD-MR output processor. Additional elements include Cheetah Distributed Routing System (DRS), QuStream UDC-550-SC HD Up/Down/Cross Conversion with SDI and NTSC/PAL outputs, an FS-514 video synchronizer with Perfect Legalizer, a DAS-441A audio synchronizer, QuStream Integrity FRM-501 and FRM-504 interfaces and a PERC2000 router control unit.
Paul Bonar, Vice President of Engineering at Game Creek Video, said: "This order continues our expanding investment into new HD Mobile Production Units. We made a very careful evaluation of routers many years ago and perform new evaluations each time we start a new project. QuStream products like the Cheetah video and DRS audio routing systems continue to top the list for us. Add to that the FortelDTV conversion products, customer support and superb sales staff and you'll understand why we have QuStream products in over 90% of our total fleet."
Karlton Burn, QuStream's Vice President of Global Sales & Marketing, said: "Return business is always an appreciated indication of customer satisfaction. Game Creek Video has proved one of QuStream's most loyal clients right back to the early years of Fortel and Pesa USA. We are now geared to equip our broadcast clients as they make the transition from 1080i to full 3 gigabits per second operation in 1080p, potentially a uniform television and digital film production standard for the entire world."
Based in Hudson, NH, Game Creek Video operates a wide variety of mobile units for clients including ABC, CBS, ESPN, FOX, HBO, NBC, Major League Baseball, NBA Entertainment, YES Network, The USA Network, and Winnercomm. Game Creek Video's mobile units and engineers have worked with these and other customers at events such as the Super Bowl, World Series, NBA Finals, Stanley Cup and the MLS Cup.
QuStream is headquartered in Toronto, Canada, with offices in the US, Europe and Asia. Further information is available at: www.qustream.com.
