Science Fiction Film Fest Gets Global Entries

Film makers from across the globe have submitted science films to this year's Wrexham Science Festival Film Festival. Ten films have been short-listed showcasing the broad spectrum of films that were received.
Entries were received from a range filmmakers from filming professionals through to university students and groups of school children. The films cover a broad spectrum of science ideas and themes and a mixture of light-hearted entertainment, documentary films and gritty dramas.
The short-listed films will be shown at the Science Film Festival at the North East Wales Institute of Higher Education (NEWI) in Wrexham on Tuesday 11 March at 6.30pm. A film expert will explain the techniques used in each film and why it was short-listed the will un-veil the winner chosen on technical merit.
The audience will also get to vote on their favourite film which will receive the Audience Choice Award.
The Science Film Festival has been organised by the North East Wales Institute of Higher Education (NEWI), Wrexham County Borough Council and Frozen Moon Productions Ltd a visual communications production company in Wrexham who has worked with a range of clients from record companies, television channels including the BBC and many public and private sector organizations.
