Film24 appoints Tim Greatrex As Non-Executive Director

Digital broadcaster and producer Film24 has announced the appointments of Tim Greatrex as Non-Executive Director with immediate effect.
Greatrex comes to Film24 having carved himself out a reputation as a successful business leader with a sharp eye for creating new revenue streams, and will be responsible for the corporate and commercial development of the business across all channels. Having been appointed Managing Director of Zenith Media UK in 2001, Greatrex oversaw that company's merger with Optimedia to create ZenithOptimedia, before moving on to become Chairman of Screen Network. Taking that business through to its sale to Avanti Screen Media, Greatrex then became Chief Executive Officer of a2a Group Limited, refocusing its interests into broadband television and taking the company through to floatation. Before joining Film24, Greatrex's most recent roles include consultancy on the launch of technology company Intrasonics and work with digital and e-commerce agency AvenueA|Razorfish.
"Tim's track record of creating profitable new revenue streams and delivering results is very impressive," said Andrew Burns, Film24's Chief Executive Officer. "His experience of the converging media and technology sectors and how to create advertising opportunities from them will make him a great asset to Film24." Discussing his arrival at Film24, Greatrex said: "Guiding Film24's corporate and commercial development will give me the kind of fast ride I enjoy. Both the team and the investors are ambitious and committed, while also having a genuine passion for film, and they have the same vision as I do to create a global, multi-platform brand that gives movie enthusiasts what they want."
