Bullseye Television Split 'Braindead' Four Ways

Bullseye Television, part of the Zodiak group of companies, announced today that Braindead its branded channel on Joost which was recently rated among the world’s top 20 channels on the platform, is to be split into four - Braindead COMEDY, Braindead CRIME, Braindead SPORT and Braindead REALITY.
This re-packaging allows the diverse range of programming available from the Braindead franchise to be found on dedicated channels. Launched in mid January 2008 with an initial selection of programmes, the full line-up of programming will be rolled out across the year.
Braindead CRIME features the hit series Cops Uncut which follows police forces across America as they catch law breakers. Further crime-based programming includes World’s Most Stupid Criminals and Hot Pursuit Special.
Capitalising on the popularity of poker on the main channel, Braindead SPORT brings more of Ultimate Poker - a beautifully shot series starring complete poker virgins - and gives fast wheel fans a treat with Natural Born Racers, an observational documentary on wannabe superbike riders.
Comedy has been another great performer on the Joost platform and Braindead COMEDY showcases some of the craziest stuff around. The incredibly popular World of Stupid visits different stunt groups around the world as they show off their jackass style stupidity. Extreme Russia and America’s Dumbest feature some of humanity’s strangest people doing the most unintentionally hilarious things.
The schedule for Braindead REALITY includes Against All Odds, Ouch, Jez Rose, Mad World, Miracles Happen and Britain’s Most Embarrassing Parents. From emotional stories following people who have survived extraordinary illnesses and accidents to a light hearted look into parents Braindead REALITY offers a wide and varied selection that reflects the variety of real life.
Braindead rated in the top 20 most popular channels for the five months following its launch. Looking to extend that popularity in 2008, Zodiak are now looking into new ways to extend the brand to new platforms. Early talks are being held to create a Braindead mobile channel, featuring shorter versions of the programming now available to Joost users.
