JVC unveil new professional DV camcorder

JVC's most recent addition to their three-chip professional DV camera range is the GY-DV-5000E camcorder.
This versatile three half-inch chip CCD digital camcorder is a follow-up to the popular GY-DV500 and has a complete set of professional features capable of recording on both Mini-DV and DV format tapes.
The GY-DV5000E extends both the performance and recording capabilities of its predecessor and incorporates the streaming capabilities first developed for the current GY-DV300 'streamcorder'.
The optional network pack is fitted to the back of the new camcorder allowing live or file (CF) card streaming. Additionally, this facility enables camera settings to be adjusted from anywhere in the world via a web browser.
JVC have also launched two new professional DV VTRs. The BR-DV3000 is capable of recording and playing both mini DV and DV formats and can be installed horizontally or vertically. The BR-DV6000 allows the recorder to edit the DV footage and is designed specifically to function within a non-linear editing system.
Both VTR's have the added advantage of being able to play back DV cam recordings.
