Visions join the HD stampede
Outside broadcast company Visions have entered the High Definition television market by commissioning a new state of the art HD OB unit.
Thomson Broadcast are in the process of building the 24 camera capable OB truck, which includes LDK6000 Mk II series cameras, a Calrec Digital Audio console, up to 12 HD VTRs and the capability of recording in 24p, as well as other HD and SD standards.
Jeff Foulser, Chief Executive of The Television Corporation, said: "This deal confirms The Television Corporation's commitment to maintaining Visions as one of Europe's leading outside broadcast facilities. The High Definition market is growing quickly and we have already had a fantastic reaction to this initiative from clients in Britain and around the world."
Visions are the latest in a string of OB companies to take the HD plunge.
