PESA name Mi Broadcast UK and Ireland distributor

PESA Switching Systems have appointed Mi Broadcast as their exclusive distributor for the UK and Ireland, renewing a relationship dating back to 1990.
PESA have been a leading manufacturer of signal routing matrices since 1973, with many prestigious installations worldwide. UK users include BBC TVC and OBs, Visions, Grampian and Granada Television. European companies the EBU, CineVideo Groep and TVE, plus many of the leading US broadcasters, also use PESA equipment.
Major sporting events, from the Olympics to this year's World Cup in Korea, have relied on PESA's experience in providing large-scale broadcast routers. Their current products are famously named after the cat family, from the 16x1 "Bobcat" to the latest 512x512 "Cheetah". The new Cheetah series combines SDI and HD within the same frame providing users with an upgrade path for the future. Other sizes of matrix include the 8x8 and 16x16 "Ocelot", 32x32 "Cougar", 64x64 "Jaguar" and the 144x144 "Tiger" series, available in Analogue Video (Composite, Component and 400 Mhz Wideband), SDI, HD and AES Audio. Different size frames can be combined using the 3500 control system with real time Windows configuration to produce a flexible, cost effective system.
PESA switchers can also work with other manufacturer's control systems and matrices using the UCI-2000 Protocol Converter enabling customers to add a PESA router to their current installation.
