IDX Ships AC-100HD 'Go-Anywhere' Power Source

IDX Technology has announced the shipping of the AC-100HD, a versatile new multi-function power adaptor for HD as well as SD cameras.
The compact rugged AC-100HD offers up to 100 Watts DC to power a camera and its ancillary equipment, as well as enabling the provision of power during a mains failure.
The AC-100HD can cater for the high current demands of HD cameras directly via its standard V-Mount plate. Further regulated DC outputs are provided on two Hirose 12-volt outputs and one XLR 14.5-volt output for supporting equipment such as LCD monitors, camera lights and audio accessories.
The compact rugged AC-100HD is designed for easy carriage and to be a go-anywhere power source. It accepts ‘universal’ input range of 100 - 240VAC 50/60Hz and includes the new IDX Power Base mode. This allows using up to two ENDURA batteries - IDX PowerLink allows two E-7 or E-10 batteries to be docked onto one another, boosting capacity and the maximum current - to provide a convenient portable power source independent of the mains supply. Power Base also provides a battery backup for the camera and accessories should the mains supply become disconnected or fail – ensuring continuous operation.
