Granada International Makes Sales In Latin America

Granada International has made a number of sales into Latin America.
Ideal, a brand new channel that launched in Brazil on October 1, has acquired a number of documentary series including Airline, China Inside and Surviving Extremes. Ideal is owned by Abril, one of Brazil's largest media groups and its launch, along with Fiz TV, marks the return of the group to the broadcasting arena.
Flavio Medeiros, Senior Sales Executive at GI based in Rio comments: "I am delighted that we are one of the main content providers for Ideal's new channel. The channel's aim is to appeal to a growing upscale audience in Brazil and we are sure that our programming can deliver the right kind of audience. We hope this is the start of a long and lasting relationship with Ideal."
In a series of separate deals Granada International has also sold more than 100 hours to Hallmark for the Latin American feed of the channel, titles included are Durham County, Instinct and The Jane Austen Collection along with many other shows which were launched at MIP in April 2007.
