Filmmakers Wanted For Channel 4's 3 Minute Wonder Slot

Make a three-minute documentary on the theme of Storytelling and get aired on Channel 4's '3 Minute Wonder' (3MW) slot.
In 2008, Kate Vogel from 3MW has committed to at least four weeks of FourDocs on Channel 4. The plan is simple. Channle 4 throw out a theme to trigger your creative juices that in turn spurs you on to produce thought-provoking, stimulating and exciting short films, which you upload to FourDocs. The best four films will be selected by Channel 4's documentary commissioning team.
The four directors will each be paid a £1500 license fee for their film and it will be screened on Channel 4 in the 3MW slot directly after the news, Monday to Thursday, 7.55pm.
And the first theme is 'Storytelling' and it's called 'Outside Story' - we're looking for directors and films that demonstrate the nuances and skill that it takes to tell a good story. Your films can centre on personal stories (authored from either the film maker or from a character's perspective). They can be simple talking heads with a compelling character or a moment of present-tense action which captures an unfolding drama; you can use animation and reconstruction, but like all good short stories they should take the viewer on a journey.
Films need to be uploaded by Friday 21 December. The final four selected from uploaded films will then be transmitted on Channel 4 in the last week of January 2008 to coincide with National Storytelling week
