AMG create Tom Jones live concert DVD

The Avanti Media Group (AMG) have announced the worldwide release of "Tom Jones Cardiff Castle Live" on DVD.
Avanti filmed and post-produced all the video content, and the Group’s latest new venture, interactive arm Pop:i Media, completed the design and authoring for the entire DVD.
The DVD of this concert, described by Tom Jones Enterprises as the “definitive Tom Jones live show”, was produced by AMG exclusively for Warner Vision International. Avanti Media Group is the first company in Wales to have produced a DVD for Warner Vision International.
Emyr Afan, Avanti’s co-founder, said: “The challenge was to reflect the electric atmosphere of Tom’s outstanding performance on the DVD, and the additional footage also contributes to re-creating the sense of occasion. We won the contract against serious competition and are pleased to have Tom Jones’ continued support whilst building the best production and recording facility in Wales.”
The footage was shot on digi-beta over three nights of Tom Jones’ concerts and all artwork, menu design and content for the DVD was created in close collaboration with the artist and the artist’s management.
AMG were given only six weeks to complete the work and produce the NTSC and PAL versions. The concert was edited on Avid Symphony, and the DVD was authored on a Sonic Solutions Creator system.
