St. Anne's post Channel 4's Cape Wrath

Ecosse Films signed a major co-production deal with the US pay cable station Showtime for its Channel 4 series Cape Wrath which was posted at St Anne's.
The series will be one of the first British dramas to go out on national cable in the US without a changed format.
St Anne’s Simon Brook, Nitris editor said: "The look of the series was to present a feeling of high summer. As the shoot took place right across the winter, this presented some problems for the exteriors. Skies were re-keyed and filled with shots of fluffy summer clouds. Many surveillance monitors were tracked and composited and rain was added to night scenes. Some of the more challenging effects included compositing flames onto an actor’s outstretched hands. This was made more believable by adding flickering light to the surrounding walls."
Colourist Paul Staples added: "From the outset, it was very important for the grade to indicate to the viewer that things in Meadowlands weren't all that they should be. Sunny exteriors and the highly saturated, colourful house exteriors were in sharp relief to the darker, more shadowy interiors, producing an underlying brooding menace.
Matthew Arlidge, Head of Television Development at Ecosse Films, added: "With Cape Wrath, we wanted to do something genuinely different. To take the audience to a strange new world and tell them a story that was surprising, unsettling and intriguing."
On the run from their past, Danny and Evelyn Brogan move their family to Meadowlands, where they appear to have landed on their feet in a 21st century 'suburban paradise'. Disease, drug and crime-free, Meadowlands appears to be a town where all is safe - bubble wrapped against the slings and arrows of urban life. However, the more the family begin to find out about their surroundings, the less they understand and the greater the paranoia becomes.
Running Time 8 x 60 minutes for Channel 4 beginning July 10.
