Datavision Launches New Product Ranges At IBC 2007

Developer of innovative digital video systems Datavision will bring a raft of new products for broadcast and non-broadcast professionals to IBC 2007.
PortaPrompt Web, based on Datavision’s innovation and PortaPrompt’s 30 years experience in the broadcast prompting business, PortaPrompt Web turns a traditional TV prompter in to a complete camera/recorder/prompter solution. Using a high spec DV1394 webcam, and powered from standard Sony camcorder batteries, the PortaPrompt Web allows non-broadcast pros to create simple ‘piece to camera’ videos.
The PortaPrompt Web internal camera can be easily removed to allow it to revert to a standard prompter for use with a range of lightweight DV and HDV camcorders, and it all folds down into a single carry case.
There is a choice of 7” 16x9 monitors with fitted fresnel screens to improve character font size, one with integral PC does away with the need for an external notebook for script managements, and the other standard analogue composite monitor for external notebook connection.
Portable Studio Systems customer specified flight case configurations based around the combination of Datavision and Datavideo transcoding, switching, mixing and recording components.
QC Rack - analogue / digital field recorder with removal media cartridges - with up to 10 hours recording DV / HDV/HD time on single disc.
DV Drive Pro - digital camera mount version of above configuration for camcorders with Anton Bauer, PAG or V-Lock battery systems. Belt and shoulder mount version also available.
Datavision’s Direct AVI to MPEG Media Transcoder – simple 2U rack mount unit for converting DV recorded video from above recorder cartridges to MPEG DVDs without PC - simple single button operation.
Datavision is also to show EDP Europe and Bryco products which providing storage for 8 to 8,000 audio/data/video media for the broadcast industry.
