Somethin’ Else Snares Tiger Aspect Director As Head Of TV

Leading cross-platform production company Somethin’ Else has appointed Jago Lee as its Head of TV, a newly-created role to support the company’s ongoing expansion and development in television.
Lee will be responsible for business development and television production within the company’s Vision department.
Somethin’ Else recently merged its internal departments under Sound and Vision to reflect the company’s strategy to develop innovative content across all platforms. The new role of Head of TV will work closely with the Head of Interactive, Simon Hopkins, to develop content across both traditional and emerging broadcast platforms.
Lee joins Somethin’ Else from IMG Media owned Tiger Aspect where he was Director of Documentaries responsible for creating, developing and executive producing a range of factual projects for UK broadcasters. Credits include Men In White (Channel 4), Mindshock: Sex On The Brain (Channel 4), and Gold Diggers (Discovery). He joined Tiger Aspect in 2004 as Head of Development and helped to rapidly grow the factual department, overseeing a number of commissioned developments before becoming Director of Documentaries in 2005. Prior to this he worked at independent production companies Diverse, The Chatterbox Partnership and Optomen.
Jez Nelson, Creative Director, Somethin’ Else said: "Our ongoing strategy at Somethin’ Else is to develop innovative content across all platforms including TV, broadband, audio, games and mobile. With Jago’s extensive experience in both traditional TV production as well as emerging media output he will be a valuable addition to the team."
Lee added: "Somethin' Else is a fantastically energised, pioneering production company. I'm keen to create television and multiplatform projects that test the boundaries of the possible, and can think of no company better positioned to develop and support this."
Lee will join Somethin’ Else in July 2007.
