Mediabox On Tour With £6 Million Fund For Young People

EM Media, as a delivery partner in Mediabox, is hosting three roadshows in Lincoln, Leicester and Wellingborough during July.
Mediabox is a £6 million fund for young people between 16 and 19 years, offering grants ranging from £1,000 to £80,000 for film, radio, television, print, photography and interactive media projects. The fund is open to applications direct from young people for bursary-style support, while organisations can apply for project finance.
Mediabox is split into three sections My Mediabox (for individuals) and Mid and Big Mediabox (for organisations). Applications for My Mediabox can be submitted on a rolling basis while Mid and Big Mediabox have set deadlines, the next one being Tuesday 17 July, followed by deadlines in September and November.
The venues and dates for the roadshows are:

• Lincoln Drill Hall in Lincoln on Wednesday 4 July between 2pm and 4pm.
• LCB Depot in Leicester on Monday 9 July between 2pm and 4pm.
• Wellingborough Castle in Northamptonshire on Tuesday 10 July between 2pm and 4pm.

The Department for Education and Skills has invested £6 million in Mediabox which is run by a consortium consisting of First Light Movies, Media Trust, Skillset and the UK Film Council. EM Media is a delivery partner for Mediabox.
