Panasonic Broadcast Gives More Memory For Your Money

Outstanding value for money and greater appeal to the broadest possible range of professional video users are the key drivers behind the latest sales promotion from Panasonic Broadcast.
An extra 8 Gb P2 memory card is offered with any purchase of a AG-HVX200E DVCPRO P2 camcorder and P2 memory card. The package is available at the exclusive price of £3,750 through authorised broadcast and professional video resellers which ends on 31 March 2006.
“This new 2-card solution provides a workflow that fits in with a huge variety of business models within the production industry, ranging from ENG production, videography and film making, broadcast and events to rental companies,” commented Ian Lowe, General Manager, UK Broadcast Sales at Panasonic Broadcast.
Emphasising the need to accommodate different styles of production, Panasonic has given the camcorder the facility to record all SD or HD variants, along with the ability to shoot in DV, DVCPRO, DVCPRO50 and DVCPROHD to the P2 card as well as to 16:9 DV tape. Image quality is also high on the agenda – the camcorder uses a native progressive 16:9, 3-CCD high definition imaging system as well as a HD quality Leica Docomar wide-angle zoom lens, camera-driven manual zoom, focus ring and an aperture dial. The camcorder records on to P2 and DV as well as Firestore FS-100 hard disk recorder for longer recording hours. Editing footage has never been easier since the camcorder can work directly with all NLE packages from Avid, Apple and Canopus.
“This advanced workflow solution ensures that longer recording can be achieved and offers unprecedented value for money. It’s ideal for users wishing to move to a tapeless workflow environment for IT and PC based film making. We’re delighted to be able to offer such a cost-effective solution to users of our equipment,” added Lowe.
All purchased products have access to the online Panasonic Premium Support Pack where any repairs to the product within the 2-year warranty period are guaranteed to be fixed within five working days.
